Grow & Farm, or formerly Farming-Simulator, was a gamemode created by SOMPENDER on July 25, 2025. It used to be an official game mode on the main page before it was removed and added back to the custom games menu on 3 October 2025. This gamemode was once the one of the best on Custom Games before being adopted as a gamemode. Later, developer jasninus mentioned in the Dev-log that players should check out the new gamemode. This gamemode is one of the three game modes that received a custom thumbnail. Grow & Farm also has a Discord server.
Grow & Farm was removed as an official gamemode from the front page and became a Custom Game again on October 3, 2025, when instead, the 7 most played Custom Games were added to the bottom of the front page. Thumbnails were even added for Steal a Pet by Aura_c and Dungeons by __player___, which skyrocketed in players while Grow & Farm became less relevant. The removal might also have been related to the "Funky Foods" update the day before, where 3 new seeds+foods, Carrot, Raw Potato, Baked Potato, and Beetroot were added to Bloxd, further separating Grow & Farm farming from Bloxd farming.
Gameplay[]
Mechanics[]
Grow & Farm, or Farming Simulator, has different mechanics from other gamemodes in Bloxd.io; it allows you to grow crops and sell them. There is a progression system which allows you to purchase ever more expensive seeds, which in turn make more money when sold. This means the player is predominantly limited by their money, as well as the stock refresh time of the seeds. The player starts with a shovel for deleting plants, a hoe for reviving bugged/dead ones, and 5 carrot seeds. Players can continue the process of buying seeds, planting, and harvesting until they have a garden filled with expensive, rare, and elusive plants.
Layout[]
You spawn on a floating island, with a Windmill and Seed Shop. In your inventory, you have 5 Carrot Seeds, a Shovel, and a Revival Hoe. Plus, you get $40 starter money. Behind you are arrows that are pointing to the Windmill (the place where you can sell your crops) and the Seed Shop (where you can buy seeds). The Seed Shop also has an Elevator which you can use to get higher-tier seeds. In front of you when you spawn, there are 3 options you can click/step on:
- Beacon: Teleports you to the shop
- Cyan Portal Block: Teleports you to your Plot
- Magenta Portal Block: Teleports you to the Windmill (Sell Area)
Upon going to your plot, you will see a 102 patch of tilled soil where you can place your crops down. 2 of the above options will be at your Plot (Beacon and Magenta Portal Block).
Additionally, by using the command “/shop credit”, it will teleport you to the secret Credit Shop. In order to obtain Credits, you must give the owner of the gamemode, S0MPENDER, Super Rank so he can give you credits.
Restock[]
In order to get seeds, you need sufficient money to buy them, and the seeds must be in stock. The restock happens every sunset and sunrise, or every few minutes. When it is restocked, a message in chat will state “The shop has been restocked”. The restock of that seed won’t decrease unless the player leaves or a player buys it.
Seeds[]
Note: Prior to the new plants update, certain crops are needed to be filled out.
Seeds are an important part of this gamemode. These can be purchased from the seed shop. Like Grow a Garden, the rarer the seeds, the less often they are restocked. Here are all the seeds currently in this gamemode:
Limited Time Seeds[]
These seeds are limited, so afterwards, play the game late, these seeds will be removed and replaced by another event, which could contain new seeds.
Mutations[]
Mutations are one part of the game, as they provide money bonus to your crops, which are beneficial for progressing the game. Here are the list of them:
Gears[]
Shovel[]
This gear can be used to remove unwanted plants. But still, you can accidentally delete a plant that is very highly valueable.
Revival Hoe[]
This gear used to exist. In the early days when this gamemode was released, there were some bugs that can affect their crops. To fix this, S0MPENDER added this to revive the bugged ones. This is now removed, as better coding systems had been added.
Watering Can[]
This gear can be bought on the 2nd floor of the shop for $20k. You can water your plants by clicking on them. This gear, however, has a cooldown of 10 seconds, so players can’t spam plants (multi specifically) to get a load amounts of money.
Prestige[]
Prestige (or rebirth) is an option you can pay for once you get on the 2nd floor of the Seed Shop. You can buy it for $5 Billion money. Once you buy it, everything resets. Your money, your plot, your items. But it gains an additional sell boost, and you get an extra $100. Additionally, you will be granted access to for seeds you can buy that requires certain Prestige levels. Each levels will get expensive.
Although you lose all your money, your money can be transferred to your alt to be prevented to be gone. And then the alt can pay the right amount of money to prestige (if $5B, then your alt sends $5B),

Glitches/Bugs[]
Due to this gamemode being mostly coded in-game, there are unexpected bugs that may happen and even affect gameplay.
- When you harvest your Strawberry plant, there is a small chance that you can get a Cranberry. This is because coding can’t be used way too much, and if severely, it’ll get a cooldown. However, during this time, players can get the actual plant, which is the Cranberry. This can be planted again, since this is supposed to be a Strawberry Seed. This also applies to other specific crops that are multi-harvest.
- Another bug is with Corn Seeds. Corns typically grow up to 3 blocks tall, in normal open-world lobbies. However, this gamemode doesn’t, only allowing a single harvest. But in this case, the code bugs out, putting a timeout. This causes the Corn to grow normally, and players can’t harvest it. After some time, their corn might be reset again! Use your Revival Hoe to make it reset and not bug out again.
- Certain plants at the time will bug out and turn into more valuable plants. For instance, the Sugar plant when harvested, turns in a lettuce plant. After waiting, players can now obtain a more rarer plant instead of spending more money and time. This also happened with the Pinecone and the Burning Bud, as they’re turned into a Brown Mushroom and Citrus.
- Sometimes, all the players in the lobby would get kicked, with an error message saying that the memory ran out and asked you to rejoin. If you had prestiged just before the error, the garden you had before you prestiged would appear again and you could continue growing plants in it. This error also affected the way how portals worked and you would not be able to get back to your plot unless you jumped down from the main island.
Trivia[]
- The gamemode was first uploaded to Custom Games, rather than being officially coded by a hired developer.
- S0MPENDER was able to code a day-night cycle. It is very basic, but exists way before Bloxd implemented nights at all.
- There is a secret place where you can get armor. Upon clicking the sign, it will start the timer, which for every 5 minutes, gives you a random piece of armor. This can be found by getting on top of the windmill and then falling into the hole.
- This is the second time player-made gamemodes have been officially added, the first being Minigame Competition Winners.
- This gamemode is inspired by Grow a Garden, a popular game in Roblox. And because Grow a Garden is insanely popular, this gamemode has more than 1,000 players playing it!
- The Corn plant can sometimes reproduce itself.
- The Watermelon Seed, when harvested, shows “-1kg”. It also applies to seeds that can be harvested and replanted again.
- This gamemode was the only gamemode that included an emoji (🌾).
- This gamemode is the third gamemode that is inspired by a Roblox, and it is inspired by a game called Grow a Garden, alongside the first being Natural Disaster Survival, and second being Simon Says.
- The first name for this gamemode is “🌾Farming-Simulator”. Later, it changed to “Bloxd Farming”, and now “🌾Grow & Farm”.
- It has over 1 million likes! This was once more than all combined games in Custom Games (and so as Parkour Obby Games), but it was revealed to be botted after certain people discovered the inhuman amount of likes gained per second.
- When you prestige, your old plot is still here (if you didn’t leave), but can’t be edited by you again. This is like an insect’s molt; once it is gone, it restarts, but gets better overtime. When you rejoin, your old molt disappears.
- This is the only gamemode that you cannot report other players by simply taping on their chat message. The only way to actually report a player is to /report [player name]. There are no “other” so you left with choices that won’t help.
- In November 8th, the game’s name has been changed to “Gwow a Fuwwy”. However, it was inappropriate for young users to see this game name. Additionally, the owner’s name has been changed to “FURRYPENDER”. This only lasted for a day, and this was just for a joke.[2]
The Pay-to-Win Situation[]
The P2W situation happened when S0MPENDER decided to add tokens earned by buying super rank. Players absolutely despised this system, as it was the first time an item in a custom game in Bloxd.io required money to get feasibly. S0MPENDER quickly faced backlash. Later, developers said this way of profit was banned. A player by the abbreviated name of chmod somehow got owner rank, outsmarting S0MPENDER and all the other players. Chmod would go on to give out multiple pay-to-win items. Therefore, S0MPENDER added lines of code clearing any Pay-to-Win items and setting credits to the lowest amount possible in Bloxd (-1e308), which effectively disables them, causing him to get even more backlash.
Chmod made a post on Discord, saying how S0MPENDER used this, and worst, not clearing a group of favourites.
(runs on onPlayerJoin)
if (!creditPlayers.includes(playerName)) {
if (getMoney(id, "credit") > 0) {
api.setMoney(id, -1e308, "credit")
api.setMoonstoneChestItemSlot(id, 6, "Dirt", 0)
for (i = 0; i < 46; i++) {
slot = api.getItemSlot(id, i)
if (slot?.attributes?.customDisplayName == "Watering Can+") {
api.setItemSlot(id, i, "Dirt", 0)
}
}
}
if (getMoney(id) > 300e15) setMoney(id, -1e15)
}
When the player joins, it gets an array of names who are protected. If the list does not include the username, it then runs if the user's credits are more than 0, and then sets it to an unreasonably low amount. Their data is also reset. It then checks for Watering Can+, which is cleared. After that, it gets the amount of money the player has. If it has more than 300 quadrillion, it sets it to a negative quadrillion instead of 0.
