AWPs appear as long black-green sniper rifle with a scope at the top and a trigger at the bottom.

Damage[]
When a bullet is shot at a player or mob, they will take damage and a number will “fly out” from the mob or player across your screen (red if it is a headshot), showing how much damage you have dealt.

Reload Speed[]
It takes about 4 seconds for an AWP to reload.
Walking Speed[]
Your walking speed is slowed down when holding an AWP.
Bullet Capacity[]
The magazine capacity of the AWP is 5, and previously 8. That means that you can shoot 5 bullets from the AWP before you need to reload.
Scope mode[]
Unique to this gun, the AWP will automatically go into scope mode when you aim or shoot. Although you can see players or mobs a long distance away clearly in scope mode, your vision is only focused on a very small area in front of you, making you vulnerable to damage from behind. When you turn quickly in scope mode, it may be difficult to find your bearings. Additionally, your speed is also greatly reduced during scope mode.
Hence, only use the scope mode of the AWP when you have confirmed that there is a target in the distance without using the AWP. Do not use the scope mode to look for targets for a long time, as the limited vision you have allows for other players to ambush you from the back. Always exit the scope mode and check for whether anyone is coming to you frequently while using the AWP.
