Appearance[]
Default Texture Pack[]
Andesite appears as an 8x8 gray block with 4 light grey 2-pixel lines on it. Andesites are slightly darker than stones, making them easy to recognise in caves.
Bare Blox Bones[]
Andesite appears as an 8x8 gray block with light gray pixels all over it.
JamBloxds[]
Andesite appears as an 8x8 gray block with light gray and dark grey pixels scattered randomly all over it.
H4des[]
Andesite appears as an 4x4 gray block with 2 light gray and 2 dark grey pixels.
Simple Better[]
Andesite appears as an 8x8 gray block with light gray pixels scattered randomly all over it.
Tiny Bits[]
Andesite appears to look like a 4x4 version of the Simple Better Andesite texture.
Obtaining[]
An Andesite cave
Andesite only appears in andesite caves, which are a variant of the caves with andesite instead of stones. You need a pickaxe to mine andesites for it to drop itself; mining it with your hands or tools other than pickaxes drops nothing.
Crafting Recipes[]
Like messy stones, granite and diorite, andesite can be used to replace stone in many crafting recipes.
