Arthur Baker is the founder and owner of Bloxd.io. He created Bloxd.io by using a free open-source game engine, Noa. Prior to Bloxd.io he worked at Microsoft, up until Microsoft announced that they were buying Minecraft, which also drove him to make Bloxd.io.

Biography[]

When Arthur was around 11, he enrolled at Dame Alice Owen's School[1] for 7 years, scoring mainly As.

Arthur then enrolled at the University of Bath for 4 years[1], with an overall average grade of 80%.

Arthur's first job was at Veea Systems as a Software Developer Intern[1], for 3 months.

After working at Veea Systems, he went back to the University of Bath[1], this time as an Advanced Labs Leader, teaching involved first-year algorithms and problem solving.

8 Months later, Arthur goes to work at Microsoft as a Product Manager Intern for 6 months.

In 2021, Arthur went to work at Improbable as a Software Engineer Intern. This lasted for 6 months.

Finally, up to this day, Arthur has been developing Bloxd.io for currently 4 years and 7 months.

Developments[]

Gamemodes[]

Arthur has currently created 15 gamemodes for Bloxd.io. They are Evil Tower, Doodle Cube, Cube Warfare, Peaceful, Bloxd (Gamemode), Survival, Creative, Bedwars, Worlds, Duels, Hide and Seek, and TestMode.

Bloxd Hop[]

Arthur's first gamemode was Bloxd Hop, being made with his game engine, along with Weiqing.

Outside of Bloxd.io[]

Veea Systems[]

For Veea Systems, Arthur developed a consumer point of sale application integrated with Veea's platform for use in food and retail environments

Microsoft[]

At Microsoft, Arthur designed features to drive modernisation and adoption of Office 365's add-ins.

Improbable[]

At Improbable, Arthur developed a product that enables the creation of vast multiplayer games within Unreal Engine, which can support up to 1000s of players in the same seamless world.
