The bed is a utility block in Bloxd.io that can be used to set spawn points and give perks to players by sleeping.
Functions[]
Main page: Sleeping
Clicking on any beds will cause you to “sleep”. Sleeping can give you the following benefits:
Setting spawn points[]
Tapping on a bed sets a spawn point where you will respawn at when you die. Note that you can set only one spawn points on beds or checkpoint blocks at any time, and when you die, the game will only teleport you to the last bed or checkpoint block you set your spawn point on.
Rested Perks[]
You can get a rested effect if you slept (stayed) on a bed for at least ten seconds. The effects that you can choose are increased damage, haste (mining speed), speed, farming yield and Aura XP gained. You can only have one rested effect at any time, and choosing another rested effect while sleeping, when you already have a rested effect, will overwrite your current rested effect.
If you placed spikes directly on top of a bed, you will take damage while sleeping and if you die while sleeping, you will respawn at the last place you were at when you clicked on the bed to sleep.
If you covered your bed completely and set your spawn point there, you will still respawn directly on your bed when you die, glitching into the blocks around the bed. You need to break the blocks around you to get out.
Usage[]
Survival, peaceful, creative, worlds and custom games[]
In these game modes, you can use beds to set spawn points, get perks from sleeping and set homes.
Bedwars[]
Beds are one of the most important parts of bedwars. Beds allows players who died to respawn on their team’s base, and when the bed of a team is destroyed, players cannot respawn. Hence, goal for each team is to try to destroy other teams’ beds and kill the players of those teams while trying to protect theirs from being destroyed.
You cannot sleep on beds in bedwars.
Lucky towers[]
Beds can be “given out” in your inventory at random. Before sleeping is added to the game, they are used for building your tower higher. After that update, you will sleep when you tap on the bed to build up, however there is a way to bypass that by crouching while clicking on a bed. Beds are also useful as it is two blocks, so if you get enough beds, you can create a "staircase" and bridge to other players.
You cannot set spawn points on beds in lucky towers.
Pirates[]
Beds are found in some maps in pirates as a decoration; you cannot use them to sleep or set spawn points. You can break them to use them for building up or bridging. However, you have an inexhaustible (in most cases) supply of wood planks in your inventory that you can use to build instead.
Greenville[]
You can use beds to sleep in Greenville as well. However, the bed’s main purpose in Greenville, before sleeping is added into the game, is to restore your energy when it is less than 100% such that your luck (probability of two wood logs or wheat dropping instead of one when you mine it) and extra earnings would increase.
The only way you can obtain beds in Greenville is by buying them in the shop. You cannot craft beds using a workbench, but you can still craft leaf beds and strongbeds.
The beds of all colours

For now, beds have 16 colours, which are red, orange, yellow, lime, green, cyan (turquoise), light blue, blue, purple, magenta, pink, brown, white, light grey, grey and black. Beds are crafted from three wool of any colour with three wood planks of any wood. Only the white bed can be crafted in the workbench, while you need the artisan bench to craft beds of other colours.

Uses in Parkour[]
Block Clutching[]
When you need to jump across two platforms that are too far to jump across directly, you can use place a bed at the platform you are at. Since beds are two blocks large, you can use the part of the bed that is extending out of the platform you are at to help you in jumping across the gap. This works for gaps in platforms that are 6-7 blocks wide.
Variants[]
There's also Strongbed; you can click here to go to Strongbed.
Trivia[]
- The Bed is 2 blocks long, and you cannot place beds in a place that is only 1 block large.
- In Sky Wars, you used to be able to place a Lime Bed, which would trigger the "Play Again" Bed that's supposed to only be in your inventory after the round was over. A player would be sent to a new lobby even though the old one hadn't finished.
- You are still able to respawn even if your bed has been covered.
- Orange bed, Cyan Bed, Blue Bed, Purple Bed and Pink Bed in Greenville when you step on it, it behaves like a Black Bed.
Half Beds[]
Half Beds are obtained only by glitches.
Find a half Tall Grass and place a Bed on the Tall Grass. Break the half Tall Grass and the half of the Bed that is on top of the half Tall Grass will break without the rest of the Bed breaking. This glitch also works on Doors.
Place a Bed on chunk borders, so that one half of the Bed is in one chunk and the other half in another chunk. (Turn on chunk coordinates in settings to help yourself locate the right place). Then leave and rejoin the lobby. The Beds should now be replaced by half Beds. Though, take note that it doesn't always work. Try breaking the Beds and rejoining again. This way, you will also dupe the Beds.
Half Beds can be pieced together to make to make “long beds”. In Pirates, you can also find Half Beds, but you will be poisoned as you must venture out of the allowed area. You can go see them when you are in Spectator. The half beds have been removed.
Custom Lobby Blocks[]
You have an ability to spawn a bed color available from Bedwars. However, you can glitch it by having Custom Lobby Block spawn 1 bed, and the other custom lobby block facing at the bed, and picking a bed. This allows it to glitch into a half bed.
