Hiding Tips[]
If you know that your team is not good at the game, try this method below to try to gain a win.
- Get a small amount of Wool.
- Reach the back of your base.
- Jump into the void, placing blocks on the edge in the process. You may have to do this multiple times.
- If you want to, buy a Shear so you can destroy the enemies' bridges quickly.
- Clutch using a block or ladder at the bottom of the pillar, then place a foothold so you don't fall to your death.
- Bridge directly below your base and destroy your pillar and bridge, leaving only one block.
- Seal yourself in a 1*2*1 area, and crouch to hide your nametag.
- Wait until all other players leave the game and win.
Tips for Finding a Hidden Player[]
If you can't find that one player who always hide in a top secret area, you can use the steps below in an attempt to find them.
- Join the same lobby using an alt.
- Locate the hidden player using your alt. Note that this process may take some time. To prevent your main account from being kicked for inactivity, move the person you’re controlling in the main account every now and then.
- Once you managed to locate the hidden player, go to their hiding spot, and kill them.
Other Tips[]
- If you are playing on PC or Mac through a browser, it might be annoying to crouch because if you try to crouch and move forward, a message will pop up about how CTRL+W deletes tabs. To fix this, simply click "Go fullscreen" or the F11 key. Another way is to crouch with C, the other Ctrl, or any other key you assigned to crouching in the keybinds settings.
- If you have the ability, wait until there's no one at the enemies' base before you break the bed. Try to be sneaky.
- If the game has been going on for quite a while, you should, before attacking other bases, prepare yourself with a Fireball, 3 Moonstone Explosive, and a Stick. After breaking their bed, try hitting the players with the stick if they are near the edge.
- You can also rush quickly after the start of a game if your sweaty or good. A good pickaxe (or explosive), PvP skills, and blocking skills are required. This strategy yields many more wins but is dangerous if your teammates aren't good or if no one protects your bed.
- If you fall off and die in early-game, you could quickly see others' bridging progresses. by looking up while falling. You can increase your render distance for better sight, although it may get a bit laggy.
- Remember to crouch when hiding.
- Cover your team's bed with the blocks that are hardest to break because of doing this will buy you time for your team to kill them.
- Also apparently while critting ( jumping and hitting the enemy) with shears, it does a lot of damage. A lot. (This tip is useful for playing the custom map “1v1 Simulator”, and the game mode “Bed fight 1v1” )
- If opponent’s bed is unfortified, using a Axe is faster to break, but if it is fortified, then use a pickaxe.
Defence Tips[]
- You can use Nets, Shears, Knock back Crossbows and Fireballs to stop the enemy and stall time for your teammates to come and help you.
- If you have a straight bridge from your base to the main island, you can mine a gap that can be jumped over (preferably 3 blocks) in the bridge. When enemies come, block the bridge, including the sides of it, from the other end of the gap (where you are) to block them.
- When an enemy comes, you can throw remote moonstone explosives at the bridge and detonate them to destroy the bridge, and possibly making the enemy fall into the void.
Clutch Tips[]
- If the game mode that you play has pop up towers, you are in luck, because if you accidentally fall into the void, you can immediately deploy the pop up tower and you will be safe for now, the pop up tower has the ability to be placed anywhere, and will automatically remove any blocks that appear in its spawning radius, so it is also useful for attack the enemies bed defences, as the hard defences will be replaced with easy to break wool.
- Ladders can be extremely useful, if the game mode you play don’t have pop up towers, this is the second best thing to clutch with, also useful for clutching traps as shown in Defence Tips, as long as you react fast you can attach yourself to any block or blocks in front side and back.
- Nets are useful for cancelling any fall damage, if you are really low in Health because the opponent spams a lot of fireballs at your feet, you need to find a landing surface and place the net under your feet before hitting the ground, the net catches you and you will be safe.
- Ice Bridge can save you if you get knocked off, as they create a landing platform for you, but don’t stay too long, as they will melt, so put blocks on the ice bridge and build your self back up to the islands.
- If the game mode that you play has balloons, it is really good for neglecting any fall damage and can maybe save you from the void if you react fast enough, it is also very good for escaping enemies because you can float away.
- Blocks are really hard to clutch with, because you need to aim, place and move all at the same time, it requires a lot of skills to clutch with blocks.
- You can practice block clutching in the custom game “Bridger”, where there is a game mode “Melon Clutch”.
- It is suggested to put these items in the slots where you are familiar with, so when the unexpected happens, you can react fast.
