January[]
January 5 - Fishing tweaks[]
Moonstone Chests are added in various buildings in Fishing for players to store their items.
January 7 - Fishing beats Capture the Flag[]
Fishing won the gamemode vote against Capture the Flag. This has been the longest gamemode vote in Bloxd.io for now, lasting for a total of 20 days before Fishing won.
January 9 - New Fishes in Fishing[]
39 more fishes are added to Fishing, and some quality of life changes.
January 14 - Minor Updates[]
First off, DirtyFleaSack changed the thumbnail of 99 Nights, and added some tutorial quests and a highscore system for the gamemode. Additionally, Fishing has some tweaks, as a bestiary was added, fish pools are fixed, and rods in your inventory is now listed by price.
After the update, they quickly fixed an issue which wouldn't allow players to play the game.
Additionally, there is a new texture pack called “Default 2” made by Harry. It is currently in early access. The current textures might be replaced in the future.
January 16 - Fish-o-Pedia updates[]
On January 16th, the bestiary in Fishing has been renamed to “Fish-o-Pedia”.
- The right hand sidebar was updated and new content was added. This includes the number and percentage (out of all fishes) of unique fishes caught.
- You have a rank based on how many unique fishes you have caught.
- You can now “flex” your best fish, which appears around your name tag.
January 20 - Fishing Update and Another Gamemode Vote[]
January 21 - Resurface of Duels and Bridge[]
Duels and Bridge was added back in a new gamemode called Ranked PvP. They were added to staging.
Bingo, Paintball, Rocket Spleef and Rocket Obby were added to “Minigames”, “PvP Games”, “PvP Games” and “Parkour Obby Games” categories of Custom Games respectively.
For 99 Nights, decoys are added, to distract mobs from attacking you and your teammates.
January 22 - Public release of Ranked PvP[]
On January 22, Ranked PvP was added to the main website.
On CrazyGames, Bingo, Paintball, Rocket Spleef and Rocket Obby were sorted into their own category in Custom Games called “Legacy Games”.
Respawn Pods are added to Bloxd.io, mainly for 99 Nights. They can be used to revive dead players 3 times before breaking, needing to repair with 5 diamonds.
January 26 - Bridge Battle Update[]
A rank system, more items in the shop, and 4 teams mode were added to Bridge Battle, and ranks were added. You can level up your rank by placing Blocks, and ranking up gives you coins.
Additionally, the Lucky Block and the Ultra Lucky Block were added to the creative inventory. However, they function the same in Lucky Blocks Battlegrounds, so you should be aware of breaking it.
January 27 - New Landmark: Shrine[]
January 28 - 1v1 Fights Update[]
On January 28, a new sub-gamemode called Build Fight was added to 1v1 Fights. Bridge, renamed to Bridge Fight, was then added back too.
January 29 - Bridge Battle Prestiges[]
On January 29, Bridge Battle was updated with new ranks, a rooftop to snipe better, more precise aim, and mainly, prestiges. Once you get to a certain rank, you can prestige, granting you prestige points. Prestigious will reset your rank and your upgrades and coins (Not confirmed), but you can use prestige points to get permenant upgrades like speed, faster reload, higher coin payment, and increasing the number of blocks you can carry.
February[]
February 2 - 1v1 Fights Update[]
On February 2, a new Sub-Gamemode called Bed Fight was added to 1v1 Fights. Its gameplay is like Bedwars, but there are only two players competing against each other.
February 3 - More updates in 99 Nights[]
On February 3, 99 Nights had a major update. The features of the update include a level 5 campfire along with a new treacherous biome in the gamemode. New crafting recipes are also added. It also introduced 2 new mobs exclusive to 99 Nights, those being the Frost Wraith and the Draugr Weaver. The Frost Wraith shoots Iceballs when attacked while the Draugr Weaver dodges attacks when attacked, although sometimes only.
February 4 - Bedwars 4v4 and New Weapons[]
On February 4, a new ranked sub-gamemode called “Bedwars 4v4” was added to Bloxd.io. Additionally, a new map called “Warehouse” was added to Skywars.
In the #dev-log, developer pegasys made a message that 4 new weapons (24 new items added) can be found in the creative inventory, those being the Club, Dagger, Spear, and Mace. Click on the links for more information about them!
On the same day, the developer/s secretly added a “Watch an Ad” for sleeping perks. This update angered the players.
February 9 - Camp Map[]
On February 9, a new map called “Camp” has been added to Bedwars trios and squads.
February 10 - New Building Blocks[]
On February 10, the Rainbow Banner, Skull Banner, and Pods in 16 colours are added to creative and worlds.
February 13 - Whip Joins in and a New Hidden Gamemode[]
On February 13, a new weapon called the Whip was added to Bloxd.io with 5 variants. When used, they can pull players up to 8 blocks apart. However, they deals mediocre damage.
Additionally, a new gamemode called “Tsunami Steal Brainrots” was added to staging. This gamemode is based on Escape the Tsunami for Brainrots.
