Open World Gamemodes are any Gamemodes with terrain generation. The terrain generation is based on the world number, as it is the “seed” that the terrain generation is based on. Although it said that it is an "Open World," the aspect of being open still has its limits, being around the size of 800,000x X 800,000y X 800,000z. Each lobby have different world structure and terrain generation that differs them (ex: a lobby could spawn you in a desert while another could spawn you in a pine forest).
Structure[]
Every Open World Gamemodes should have the following rules for terrain structuring:
- The spawn of the world is at the center of the world. It is located at x=0, z=0. There is a 20X x 20000Y x 20Z area centered around true spawn that you cannot modify or blow stuff up in, but you can place Water or Lava Buckets. This rule applies to all lobbies except for Anarchy and Bingo.
- In the public lobbies (most Open World lobbies except Worlds and Bingo lobbies) there is a 384X x 384Y x 384Z block-wide radius around true spawn where blocks regenerate after two hours of at least one player being online. In this area players cannot place Protectors nor Tribe Protectors.
- There is a border 400,000 blocks away from true spawn making bases at the true world limit impossible.
- In Open Worlds Gamemodes, you must create your own resources (with the exeption of Creative).
