Horses are a passive mob in Bloxd.io (that is, they will not attack players). They were added to Bloxd.io on 4 August 2025.
Appearance[]
This mob currently has 4 variants. Default, Gray, Brown, and Cream. The appearance of the mob will change when you take them and put a Saddle on them. They move at a very fast speed, which makes it an efficient way to travel across long distances in the game.
Location[]
Horses spawns in plains and forests (except for spectral forests). You can also manually spawn horses with a Spawn Orb or Spawner.
Taming and riding[]
Horses can be tamed with apples or wheat or saddles. However, remember to bring more apple or wheat when taming horses and each apple or wheat only have a small chance of successfully taming a horse. After that, the horse will be tamed and follow you around. The horse a randomly generated name will appear above its head, with “(player name)’s horse” below the name. However, you need to craft a saddle made of 5 leather (leathers are dropped by killing cows) and put the saddle on the horse to be able to ride horses.
Tamed horses will not react when you attack them. Killing a tamed horse with a saddle on it will drop the saddle, while horses without a saddle would not drop anything.
Trivia[]
- If you saddle an untamed Horse, it will be tamed automatically, so you don't necessarily need Apples or Wheat.
- You can't ride a Boat or an Obsidian Boat when riding a Horse and vice versa.
- If you are holding a Hang Glider, you can't ride a Horse. If you hold a Hang Glider while riding a Horse, you will get off the Horse automatically.
- If you hold a Bow, Crossbow, or Gun while riding a Horse, your hands will stay in the bow-holding position ("stick together"), even if you don't hold that item anymore. Your hands will go into their normal position only after getting off the Horse.
- This mob teleports to you if you are too far from them, like the Wolf and Wildcat.
- Riding a horse is the fastest mode of overland travel in Bloxd. Combining Sleep Speed bonus and Speed II plus ice makes it even faster!
