The Magma Golem is a variant of the Cave Golem, which is a hostile mob, in Bloxd.io. The Magma Golem was added to Bloxd.io on 29 July 2025 as part of the Last Stand 2.0 update. It can be spawned as an enemy in Last Stand in the later waves. It can be found in underground ruins since the update that added underground ruins on 23 October 2025.

Spawning[]

The Magma Golem spawns in later waves in Last Stand and Underground Ruins. You can also find its spawn orb in Creative.

Appearance[]

The magma golem has the identical body proportions as the cave golem. However, its body is of a darker shade of grey than the cave golem, resembling the colour of Netherite in Minecraft. The moss, presumably, covering the shoulders and back of the cave golem is replaced with patterns that resemble lava. The patterns on the face, chest and hands of the golem resembles fireballs instead of moonstone.

Items dropped upon death[]

Item Chance of Dropping Numbers dropped
Magma 100% 5-10
Golem’s Eye 100% 1
Fireball 100% 1-4

Behavior[]

If you are within a radius of 20 blocks from any magma golem, they will throw fireballs from a distance. The fireballs will damage the player, and the surroundings, like normal fireballs. Before the underground ruins were added, the fireballs were always thrown slightly above your head, making it almost impossible for you to take damage from the fireballs thrown.

The Magma Golem will also move to a distance of exactly 7 blocks away from you to throw fireballs. When you walked away such that the distance between you and the magma golem is more than 7 blocks, the Magma Golem will continue moving to you until the distance between the golem and you is 7 blocks.

When you are within a radius of one block from the Magma Golem, it will deal melee attacks on you once per every five seconds. The damage taken is relatively small, but considering the high amount of health the magma golem has, you will spend more time attacking the golem and also being attacked by it. You can lose a considerable amount of health if your armor is weaker, like a set of wood armor, and stayed within a close range of the golem.

The amount of damage taken from melee attacks in different armor is shown below.

Armour (without any enchantments) Damage taken per hit
No armour 20
Full wood armour 12
Full iron armour 9
Full gold armour 7
Full diamond armour 5

Trivia[]

  • Ironically, Magma Golems take damage in lava, although they are made out of magma.
  • Killing a Magma Golem is the only way to obtain Fireballs in public Creative Lobbies (taking it from the inventory will cause the fireball to disappear immediately).
