Movement[]
Movements are the ways of moving in Bloxd.io.
In-game Mechanics[]
There is currently one mechanic based on Movement. This list contains all types of of the current in-game mechanics:
Horizontal movement[]
Horizontal movement refers to movement specifically in a horizontal direction.
It has many varieties in speed. The following table shows the parameters of various horizontal movements, and after it the types of movement themselves are described in more detail.
| Type | speed in blocks per second | Increase/decrease in speed compared to walking |
|---|---|---|
| Walk | 4 | 0,00% |
| Run | 7 | +75% |
| Crouch | 2 | -50% |
| Walk in net | 0.28 | -93% |
| Walk on ice | 5.6 | +40% |
| Walk with effect of Speed (increased speed) | 5.6 | +40% |
| Walk with effect of Speed II (further increased speed) | 6.2 | +55% |
| Walk with effect of Speed N (if your code allows it) (for 1<= N <= Infinity) | (5+N*0.6) | +(25+N*15)% |
| Walk with effect of Slowness (reduced speed) | 2,78 | -27,28% |
| Walk with effect of Slowness II (further reduced speed) | 2,39 | -37,50% |
| Run + Speed II + Ice | 16,84 | +339,79% |
| Single Bunny Hop | 4.6 | +15% |
| Double Bunny Hop | 4.9 | +22.5% |
| Triple Bunny Hop | 5.2 | +30% |
| N Bunny Hop (if your code allows it) (for 1<= N <= Infinity) | (4.3+0.3*N) | +(7.5*(N+1))% |
| Maximum speed: Run + Speed II + Ice + Triple Bunny Hop | 22,02 | +475,11% |
Walking[]
Walking is done by, pressing "W", the up-arrow key, or dragging the joystick in mobile.
Sprinting[]
Press [↑Shift] on computer along with "W" or the up-arrow key. Or use the joystick on touch to sprint.
Crouching[]
Press [CAPS LOCK], [ctrl], [Z] or [C] on computer to crouch. Or use the down arrow key on touch to crouch. You can enable/disable crouch-toggling in settings.
Bunny Hopping[]
Bunny hopping (Called B-Hop In-Game) is one of the hardest parkour skills. You need to jump right as you land to increase the jump length. The lengths that you can jump with bunny hopping technique are 6 Block, 7 block (requires double B-hop) and 9 block in ice.
Setup[]
This is the setup for 6 block jumps
Double B-hop[]
Double b-hop is a b-hop after a b-hop making the boost even greater, but also requires the player to land in the edge of the block in the first jump. It allows you to perform 7 block jumps.
The setup of double b-hop
Triple B-hop[]
In the tips of bloxd.io, there is one saying you can actually do b-hop 3 times in a row making the maximum speed possible without buffs. It is done by b-hopping 3 times. It allows you to make the tightest jumps possible in Bloxd.io such as 6.5 neos.
Sprint-jumping[]
Jumping immediately when you land on the ground gives you a speed boost, but you cannot obtain that boost by holding the jump button.
Vertical movement[]
Jumping[]
You can jump by pressing space or the jump button in mobile. The height you jump can be boosted by jump potions and double jump potions. The highest you can jump by potions is 22 blocks, using the Jump II Potions and Double Jump Potions to give both the jump II and double jump effects simultaneously.
Climbing[]
You can climb on ladders, trapdoors, vines, dangling ropes and dangling vines.
“Propelling”[]
You can use the following items to “propel” yourself up into the air, much higher than how high you can jump
| Item | How to make the jump | Maximum height you can reach if you do not spam (blocks) |
|---|---|---|
| Moonstone Explosive | Stand at where the explosive is at | 24 |
| Fireball | Throw a fireball right below you | 14 |
| RPG | Fire it directly below you | 10 |
| Super RPG | 9 | |
| Grenade Launcher | 10 | |
| Splash Knockback Potion/Knockback Potion | Throw the potion at your feet or drink it | 14 |
| Splash Knockback Potion II | 31 | |
| Mango | 9 |
Jumping during a consumable explosion will make you jump even higher. For maximum height gain, you must press [Space] in an instant before the explosion.
PvP/fighting[]
Right-click on a player or mob to attack it.
Placing blocks[]
Right-click on the side of a block to place another block on that block. You cannot place blocks on itself; all blocks can only be placed adjacent to another block, but you can break blocks in a particular way later on to make blocks look like it is floating.
Interact/function[]
Interact with a block, such as doors, workbenches, boards or grass with shears. Aim your crosshair at the block, then right-click. For touch, simply tap the item.
Bridging[]
Place blocks to navigate through air by looking backwards at your blocks.
Mining[]
Right-clicking in a block will mine it. Cracks, or a literal progress bar in some texture packs, shows how “much” has the block been broken when you break it.
Player-discovered Mechanics[]
Auto Mine[]
Glitches explains this but press [Alt] and [Tab↹] while mining for this to work.
Double Jump[]
Every alternate time (that is, the 1st, 3rd, 5th and as such) you are in contact with water or lava, you can jump on top of the water or lava without “sinking” into it.
Triple jump[]
Yes, you CAN triple jump in Bloxd.io. This can also be done in Minecraft. It is done by placing blocks, making it OP in Bedwars and Sky Wars.
- Jump, place a block and jump again to jump two blocks.
- Then aim your cross hair towards bottom front.
- Quickly place an "L" shape of vertical blocks.
- Jump on the higher section.
- You have jumped three blocks.
- The "L" shape makes it easier to line it up, you can do it with a pillar, but it is more advanced.
- You can do this and turn around to surprise your enemies with this skill.
Head Hitters[]
While your character is 2 blocks high, it is possible to jump across gaps in spaces that are 2 blocks high. Do this by holding space/jump button and shift/sprint button at the same time, and no not release either of them until you jumped across the gap.
Ladder Launching[]
Ladder Launching is a bug where when you crouch on top of a ladder, against the side of a block that does not have a ladder on it, you will be launched into the air when you move forward. Release the crouch button when you move forward to jump higher.
| How many ladders | How many blocks launched upwards |
|---|---|
| 1 | 15 |
| 2 | 48* |
| 3 | 48* |
*Yes, the jump height has been rechecked many times, 2 and 3 ladders setups show the same result.
A high jump is also possible from a single ladder (trapdoor) in a similar way. The jumping characteristics of single and double ladders are presented in the following table.
| Type | Max jump height with one ladder | Max jump height with two ladders |
|---|---|---|
| All types of trapdoors | 5 blocks | 15 blocks |
| Vines, Ladder, Pine Ladder,
Plum Ladder, Pear Ladder, Aspen Ladder |
8 blocks | 27 blocks |
| Elm Ladder, Palm Ladder, Cedar Ladder | 12 blocks | 37 blocks |
| Iron Ladder | 15 blocks | 48 blocks |
Also, if you wait the longer time on the ladder, it launches you higher
| Time | Blocks |
|---|---|
| 1-3 seconds | 5-15 blocks |
| 4-15 seconds | 16-28 blocks |
| 16-30 seconds | 29-43 blocks |
| 31 or more | 44-48 blocks (limit) |
*Note this is actually not proved, so we still need to do experiments to test if there are anything wrong on the table.
