Obsidian is one of the hardest Blocks in Bloxd.io.
Obtaining[]
Obsidian is created when you tap a Water Bucket on a “block” of lava; the bucket will be empty and an obsidian will replace where the lava was. However, you cannot create obsidian by tapping a bucket of lava on a “block” of water. Obsidian is very tough and can only be broken with Diamond or Moonstone Pickaxes (and they still takes a long time to break). They cannot be broken explosives or fireballs.
Usage[]
Obsidian are mainly used to protect your builds. You can also craft 6 obsidian into an Obsidian Boat using a Workbench. Obsidian Boats allow you to not take damage while travelling on Lava.
In bedwars, four pieces of obsidian can be bought in the shop for 4 diamonds. Obsidian is a powerful material in bed wars that can protect your bed efficiently, but it is also very expensive,
Trivia[]
- In One Block, there used to be an Obsidian block under each player's one block that could be mined and would never regenerate. However, the devs updated it. After it is mined, it will regenerate the next time you join. This is also a glitch, since you can break it, rejoin, and it will reappear in that spot.
- This item used to be illegal in Open Worlds until they added it on April 9th, 2024 (around 10 AM PDT)
