Bloxd.io Wiki

Player Versus Player, also known as PVP, means combat or fighting against players. In fact, the entire Bloxd.io is built around PvP.

Gamemodes[]

In Bloxd.io, there are many game modes that are focused on PVP, including:

Existing Gamemodes[]

Removed Gamemodes[]

Combat System[]

If you play Minecraft, you should keep in mind that the combat in Bloxd is a bit like 1.8/Bedrock edition PvP. In other words, you can spam-click your opponents, as opposed to 1.9+ MC Java Edition.

For PC, use LMB and aim your crosshair at your enemies to hit them! For mobile, just click on your opponent. Click faster to deal more damage, do note that even if you click really fast, your hits only register once per 0.4 seconds (So about 2.5 hits a second maximum). Note: PvP on PC is better and easier than on mobile

Items used for combat[]

There are lots of items that can help you PvP, even though not all would help, but knowing them helps you fight enemies if they use that item.

Items that are involved in combat
Item Usage Obtaining

Note: all items are crafted using the Workbench

Counter/Weakness Available Enchantments
Swords Swords deal more damage than most other weapons. All swords: 2 Wood Planks, any type of Stone, Iron, Gold or Diamond + 2 Wood Planks

Knight Sword: 3 Knight Heart + 1 Diamond Sword

Swords can only deal damage within a close range.
  • Damage: increases damage dealt by arrows
  • Attack Speed: increases the frequency which you can hit players or mobs
  • Critical Damage: further increases the damage dealt when hitting while falling (critical hits)
  • Horizontal Knockback (Knight Sword only): increases the distance players/mobs are knocked back when hit
Armour Reduces the amount of damage you take See Equipment Page. You can be damaged by splash poison and instant damage potions, which makes you lose health no matter what armour you are wearing.
  • Protection: reduces the amount of damage taken
  • Health: increases your maximum health
  • Health Regeneration: increases the speed of your health regenerating
  • Knockback Resist (Fur Chestplate only): reduces the distance you are knocked back when hit
  • Stomp Damage (Spiked Boots Only): increases the damage dealt when you fall onto players/mobs
Bows/Crossbows Deals more damage than swords, and can be used to deal damage from a long range. Additionally, crossbows can be charged indefinitely to shoot the arrows at any time. Bows: 3 Wood Planks, any type of Stone, Iron Bars, Gold Bars or Diamonds + 1 Cotton + 1 Wood Plank

Crossbows: 4 Wood Planks, any type of Stone, Iron Bars, Gold Bars or Diamonds + 1 Cotton + 1 Wood Planks + 2 Iron Bars

Their weakness is accuracy. It is a matter of practice to master the bow and arrow. It is also countered by Moonstone Orbs, so quickly switch to your sword while your enemies get close. Also, Crossbows take longer to load than Bows.
  • Arrow Speed: increases the speed and range of arrows
  • Arrow Damage: increase the damage dealt by arrows
  • Quick Charge: reduces the speed of charging arrows
Potions Potions give you health or effects. Potions are crafted with glass bottles, which are crafted from 3 sand and 1 piece of coal. Potions take a longer time to drink than eating foods, which makes you vulnerable to damage in that period.
Splash potions Gives effects to other players or yourself instantly. 2 regular potions Splash potions cannot be stacked, and you need to frequently rearrange the items in your inventory to put potions in your hotbar to be able to use them, which makes you vulnerable to damage. -
Arrows with effects Deals damage to players and gives them effects at the same time. 4 arrow + 1 potion (of any effect) for every 4 arrows of the effect of the potion It can be a waste of potions to use arrows with effects if your aim is not accurate.
Blocks You can use blocks to build improvised defences/“shields” to avoid other players’ attacks, or use them to bridge away or in clutching while escaping Any block You can break blocks easily with a good pickaxe, such as a diamond or moonstone pickaxe
Food Foods can give you health or effects. Grow them with their respective seed, grow trees that bear them from saplings, or by killing mobs to get meat Foods take time to eat, and other players can damage you during that time.
Fireballs/Iceballs Deals a lot of damage to players. Additionally, iceballs can freeze players that are hit by them temporarily. Fireball: 1 Moonstone + 1 Magma

Iceball: 1 Moonstone + 1 Ice

They fly slowly, so you could try to dodge them, or hit them away by throwing another Iceball/Fireball. Spamming them will also damage you. If you find yourself trapped in an iceball combo, try escaping the sticky situation with Moonstone Orbs.
Moonstone Explosive Explodes and deals a lot of damage. Moonstone explosives can instantly kill players with weaker armour. 1 Moonstone + 10 Sand for 4 explosives Takes a long time to explode after they are primed, and anyone can run away from explosives during that time. Only use moonstone explosives on players that are “trapped” in a place. -
Moonstone Orb You can throw moonstone orbs, and it teleports you to where it lands. 2 Moonstone + 2 Reinforced Pebble Moonstone orbs deal 15 damage to you every time it is thrown, regardless of what armour you are wearing. It also takes time for the orb to fly in the air to land. -
Nets Can be used to slow down other players 15 Leaves Nets can be broken easily by any tool -
Pebbles and snowballs These can be crafted from materials widely available and can deal damage from a long distance. Their aim is also accurate. Pebbles: 1 Stone for every pebble

Snowball: 4 Snow for every snowball

These projectiles do not deal much damage, and you can easily run out of them in combat if you do not bring massive amounts. -
Stick Deals little damage but a lot of knockback. The stick is used to knock players off great heights 1 Wood Plank The stick deals little damage. So unless if you do not have any better weapons, do not use the stick as your main weapon. -
Guns Deals damage very rapidly and can damage players from a long distance Can only be obtained from interactive boards or code blocks in worlds. Guns take time to reload and you are vulnerable to damage during that period. Guns does not give you an advantage if the player(s) you are fighting with are also using guns. -
RPGs Deals a lot of damage to players and can damage players from a long distance Can only be obtained from interactive boards or code blocks in worlds. There is a limit on how many RPGs can be fired in a certain time period, and the RPG might damage you too if you fired it at a target too close to you. -
Fat cactuses Fat cactuses deal a decent amount of damage. They can be used as a weapon too if you don’t have anything else. Naturally spawns in deserts Fat cactuses are a block, and you can accidentally place them on the ground during combat, and it takes time to mine the cactus back. -
Mangoes Mangos can also be used to knock back players is a cheaper alternative to splash knockback potions Spawns on mango trees and can be farmed (by planting mango trees) Mangoes does not deal damage -
Coconuts Coconuts can be thrown to damage players. They will also turn into cracked coconuts when landed, which can be eaten to give the speed effect Spawns on palm trees and can be farmed (by planting palm trees) Coconuts have a short range, and other players may pick the cracked coconuts before you when they land -

Tips[]

Well, after seeing all of the above, you may not understand how to fight. Here are the basics and some slightly advanced tips to get better at PVP.

CPS[]

CPS, which stands for Clicks Per Second is important; the more hits you get in, the more damage you deal. A really fun way to practice is by playing clicker games, such as Cookie Clicker. CPS is important on how your fingers are positioned. Make sure your fingers are stretched over your mouse.

You can practice your CPS at https://cpstest.org/ or other sites.

However, sometimes higher CPS doesn't work as there is a cooldown on some items.

Also, please do watch out not to use drag click or other high CPS clicking methods (this even counts if you doing by your hand) . Doing that will give you over 20 cps and the game will ban you if you have too high of a CPS because Bloxd.io will think you are using autoclicker as cheating is not allowed.

Timing Hit

Even more important than CPS alone is timing your hits correctly. In Bloxd.io, damage is only registered every 0.4 seconds. So spamming 30 CPS won’t actually land more hits. That’s why the ideal CPS is around 12–16, or up to 20 if you can maintain control. But even a well-timed 2.5 CPS can deal similar damage if your hits are timed perfectly. PvP isnt just about CPS, it’s about landing hits when they count.

Getting into Combat[]

Bloxd PvP isn't just about swinging your weapon, it's about movement, aim, and later on, your ability to adapt to your opponent's fighting style.

The foundation of pvp is movement. Use "A" and "D" to strafe from side to side and make it harder for your opponent to hit you, and use "W" or "S" to move closer or further from your opponent (on PC). Avoid running straight toward them or backing up in a straight line, as it makes you easier to hit. Also try to move in a circular formation when attacking. Aiming is also very important, keep your crosshair on your opponents to make sure your hits land. Don't just click as fast as you can, control where your crosshair is so your hits deal the most damage. If you are moving to the right, move your camera to the left, If you are moving to the left, move your camera to the right to keep your crosshair on your opponent.

Once you've mastered these basics, you'll be able to move on to more advanced tactics, but getting these right will already give you a strong advantage.

Combos[]

Keeping on hitting enemies are also important. Try to move forward if they got knocked back while quickly clicking. Do not let them touch you again. If the combo breaks, instants alter between left and right, keep clicking and you could still build combos again.

Critical hits[]

When you hit someone in midair, you deal 30% more damage, or 1.3x. This used to be 1.2x until it was buffed. This is a Critical Hit, or Crits. Crits are nice-to-have and could help you deal more damage.

Trees can also be used to escape and spam crits with Head-Hitter jumps.

Sprint-Cut[]

Your first hit while sprinting deals extra knockback, so stopping your sprint while doing combos can help you hold a longer combo.

Health[]

When you are fighting in another player, look out for your health bar constantly. You can lose a lot of health in a short time if you fight against another player without looking out for your health and changing your strategy to take less damage.

Fighting in Factions/Survival[]

This is generally different from other PVP mode as you don't keep your inventory, and for new players in a lobby, losing everything is a big discouragement. You can practice PVP with your friend or in gamemodes designed for PVPing.

Armour[]

You can be killed very easily with no armour or wooden armour, so make sure you are wearing at least a full set of gold or diamond armour (iron armour is neither weak nor strong) when you plan to kill players. The fur chestplate reduces your knockback when you are hit, but it offers the same protection as the iron chestplate. The spiked boots are the same as iron boots, but deals damage to other players when you jump onto them and allows you to walk faster on snow. If you have better boots, only use the spiked boots when you need to travel across snow or ambushing players from above.

Potion/Food Management[]

This is also extremely important in PVP, and these are the key food item you need to know about: a damage II potion more than doubles your damage output, and you can one shot a slightly armored player with a diamond bow under the effect. a defense II potion lets you survive twice longer (a total of ten times longer if you have diamond armor.) a speed II potion lets you run twice as fast, a jump II potion lets you jump 7 blocks high (basically a basic fireball jump everytime) a shield II potion let you survive 1.5 times longer, a splash instant heal II heals 60 health, a splash knockback II potion takes you over 48 blocks high into the air if used right (throw it right under you to be lauchned high). Also, Mangos work similar to Wind Charges in Minecraft and are generally better than Knockback potions.

Practicing PVP[]

You can practice PVP in Survival, Bedwars, Skywars, Pirates, Cube Warefare (guns), and Last Stand to hone your skills and get you better.
