Sky Grid was a limited time gamemode that was added to staging.bloxd.io on 11/13/2025, and is added to the official Bloxd.io website on 14 November in a gamemode vote against 99 Nights, but lost. However, it was added to the types of world generation available for Worlds lobbies.
Gameplay[]
Sky Grid is identical to survival in terms of game mechanics. However, the world is entirely made up of random blocks that are uniformly spaced 3 blocks apart, both horizontally and vertically. There is a layer of lava that covers the bottom of the world uniformly from y=-300 to y=-324. Bedrock makes up the blocks at y=-325. Additionally, you will receive 3 updrafts to allow you to travel up the world easier each time you join a lobby.
In Sky Grid, chests are filled with random loot. You are guaranteed to find updrafts, firecrackers and tree saplings in chests.
Sky Grid map type[]
Even though Sky Grid was removed, a new map type you can set for worlds lobbies is “sky grid”, which is identical to how the world generates in the Sky Grid game mode. However, you can customise it to set it to different game modes. (E.g. creative)
Trivia[]
- No plants (if you do not count the leaves of trees) will spawn in the world except in loot chests.
- Hostile mob spawners can generate in the world, but not neutral and passive ones.
- If you manage to glitch through the Bedrock Layer and get inside, you can use Ice Bridges change blocks in the Bedrock layer.
