The spirit bear in a mob in Bloxd.io. They do not spawn naturally, but you can find them contained in a mob catcher in the loot chests of ruins. Spirit bears are neutral, which means they do not attack the player, but will do so if the player is attacking them. You can tame a spirit bear to use it as a form of transportation. Spirit Bears were added 10/29/2025 along with Spirit Gorillas, Spirit Stags, Spirit Wolves, and Spirit Golems.
Appearance[]
Spirit Bears appear very big and blocky. They are 1.5 blocks high.
Their fur is a very light cyan with splotches of a slightly darker cyan all over it.
Spawning[]
Spirit Bears do not spawn naturally like most mobs. However, you can find a mob catcher containing a spirit bear in loot chests of ruins, and releasing the spirit bear tames it immediately.
Items Dropped[]
Spirit Bears do not drop anything upon death.
Behavior[]
When Untamed[]
Spirit Bears are a neutral mob and will not attack unless provoked, and they deal the same damage and knockback as a regular bear. Spirit bears are 1.5 blocks high, and can attack players that are one block above them, so if you want to build a tower to kill it from above, the tower has to be at least 3 blocks high and you need to use a bow or crossbow to kill it as swords cannot deal damage to mobs one block or more below the player.

Taming[]
You can use moonstone or spirit saddles to tame a spirit bear. When a spirit bear is tamed, a name “(adjective) spirit bear” will appear above the bear, with “(player name)’s spirit bear” below it. The name can be renamed using name tags. You can put a spirit saddle on spirit bears, if you haven’t done so previously, and use it as a form of transportation.
Tamed spirit bears will not react when you attack them. When you kill a spirit bear that is saddled, the saddle will drop.
