Wolves are mobs that were added to Bloxd.io alongside Deer, Stag, Bear, and Gold Watermelon Stag in the Wildlife update on May 16, 2025.
Spawning[]
Wolves spawn in Pine Forests, Cedar Forests, Frozen Badlands.
Hostile wolves can also spawn as an enemy in Last Stand.
Appearances[]
Wolves have multiple variants. Currently, they can be dark brown, grey, dark grey, brown or cyan with cyan spots, resembling the colour of spectral logs and leaves. Spectral (cyan) wolves can only spawn in frozen badlands.
Actions[]
Behaviour when untamed[]
Wolves wander around randomly, but if players or mobs hit them, they will attack back.
Behaviour when tamed[]
You can use bones to tame a wolf. Tamed wolves will attack other players or mobs that are attacking the player, or other players or mobs that the player attacks. Wolves have 320 health when tamed, and their health increases as the player increases friendship with them.
Friendship System (see here for more)[]
When you tame wolves, you need to feed them regularly to increase the friendship level, to give both you and the wolf perks.
Foods that Wolves like (increases the friendship level faster):[]
- Any type of cooked meat (porkchop, beef, mutton or venison)
- Rotten Flesh and Rotten Brain
- Watermelon and Gold Watermelon Slices
- Bread
- Pumpkin Pie
- Bowl of Rice
- Cracked Coconut
- Baked Potato
List of perks[]
| Level of friendship | Perks |
|---|---|
| 1 heart | None |
| 2 hearts | The Wolf drop Meaty Bones when fed |
| 3 hearts | The Wolf have a larger maximum health |
| 4 hearts | The Wolf gives a Painting |
| 5 hearts | All other tamed Wolves you have deal 20% more damage |
Restoring health[]
The health of wolves can be restored with any cooked or raw meat (beef, pork, mutton, venison), including rotten flesh dropped by zombies.
Attacking[]
When you attack an untamed wolf, the wolf will attack you rapidly without dealing any knockback. This can drain your health quickly. Wolves also move at a very fast speed when attacked, making it difficult to run away or dodge their attacks. When a wolf is attacking you, you can use a bone to tame it or keep your mouse pointed at the ground in front of you and attack (ideally with a sword) when the wolf reaches that area.
Items dropped upon death[]
You will get 0.3 Aura XP levels (or 30 Aura XP) after killing a Wolf. Sometimes, a wolf may drop an Aura Orb after death.
Naming[]
The default names for tamed wolves are “[adjective] wolf”, but you can change the name using name tags.
